Plans for special houses for Monks and others not able to afford relief from their chronic illnesses at MorNoi-clinic is being formulated and we hope to receive donations for this worthy project in the near future. A special account in the Siam Commercial Bank has been set up to receive donations, account 596-261220-2.

The dollar donations will take a little while to arrange as a P.O.Box in the U.S.A. is needed and a responcible party to transfer funds to Thailand.

Children’s Toy Day | Chiang Mai | Thailand

The Christmas and New Year festivities are over; it has been a busy time for Croston House with many activities.

Today (4th January 2009) was no different.
Croston House Children’s Home was invited to the annual Chiang Mai Toy Day.

The old cars were great, one was even running on hydrogen.

The Christmas, New Year and Birthday party on the 27th of December at the Herbal Garden was very fine with entertainment, beautiful old cars and great food.

I must say that the highlight of the meal were the beautiful pies made by Noi for the event. She gave us apple and pumpkin pies that were superb. She had only learned to make pies from one of her patients a year ago, but the result was wonderful.

I really enjoyed the pumpkin which I had not had from Noi Cuisine before. It was very tasty and full flavored made with local pumpkins. No pie mix for this lady! If this is a sample I recommend
Noi Cuisine.
